Coca Cola Barbecue Sauce

Coca Cola Barbecue Sauce
Ingredients:
  • 2 tbsp. butter
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 bay leaf, crumbled
  • 2 c. catsup
  • 16 oz. bottle Coca-Cola
  • 1 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp. prepared mustard
  • 2 tsp. vinegar
  • Salt and pepper to taste
Directions:
  • Heat the butter in a large saucepan over medium-low heat. Add the onions and garlic. Cook for 5 minutes, do not brown. Add the remaining ingredients. Simmer, stirring occasionally for 1 hour. Makes about 1-/2 cups.
