Chili Recipe

Insane Chicken’s Chili Recipe
Ingredients:
  • 1½ pounds ground beef -- leanest possible
  • (1) 14.5 oz can Diced tomatoes with Chiles
  • (2) 14 oz can Chili, or Pinto Beans – rinsed and drained
  • 15 oz. Bloody Mary mix, Liquid (I like to use Cape Cod’s mix but any will do)
  • 4 Tbs. Chili Powder
  • 1 Tbs. Crushed Red Pepper Flakes
  • 1 tsp. Cayenne
  • 1 tsp. Cumin
  • 1 Tbs. Dried minced Onion (or fresh)
  • 1 tsp kosher salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper -- freshly ground
  • Hot Sauce to taste - See below for suggestions
Directions:
  • In large skillet, brown beef. When no longer pink, Drain fat from beef and sauté until tender and browned a bit. Add tomatoes, Bloody Mary Mix and all the spices. Stir well and simmer for about 10 minutes. Add hot sauce to taste and continue to simmer. When almost ready to serve, add beans to heat through.
  • Serve with Tortilla Chips and Sprinkled cheese on top.
