Haitian Hot Pepper Sauce

Ingredients:

  • 3 Habanero or Scotch bonnets peppers, Chopped
  • 1/2 cup Papaya; substitute peaches, Fresh or canned
  • 1/2 cup Raisins
  • 1 cup Onion; minced
  • 3 clove Garlic; minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon Turmeric
  • 1/4 cup Malt vinegar

Directions:

  1. Bring everything to a boil together; lower heat and simmer 5 min.
  2. Puree in blender.

There are no ingredients listed here, but my taste buds do detect some of the basic spices, along with some not-so-traditional additions. The exact blend is kept under wraps, so I won’t risk getting it wrong by trying to guess. Let me just say that I taste a hint of something tropical in there, along with a mild peppery flavor. There’s also some very sweet notes. Point is, this is a beautiful, balanced blend of a variety of herbs and spices that will look and taste good on any protean your little heart desires putting it on. It’s a great steak, chicken, pork, rib, or even seafood rub. In fact, this one is especially nice on seafood.

Peach Cobbler Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup butter or margarine, melted
  • 1 (16 ounce) can sliced peaches
  • 1 1/4 cups sugar, divided
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Directions:

  1. Pour butter into a shallow 2-qt. baking dish; set aside.
  2. Drain peaches, reserving 1/4 cup juice.
  3. In a saucepan, bring the peaches and juice just to a boil.
  4. Meanwhile, in a mixing bowl, combine 1 cup sugar, flour, milk, baking powder and salt; mix well. Pour over butter in baking dish.
  5. Spoon hot peaches over batter. Sprinkle with remaining sugar.
  6. Bake at 400 degrees F for 25 minutes or until cake tests done. Serve warm.

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 onion, minced
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3/4 cup bourbon whiskey
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1/2 tablespoon salt
  • 2 cups ketchup
  • 1/4 cup tomato paste
  • 1/3 cup cider vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons liquid smoke flavoring
  • 1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/3 teaspoon hot pepper sauce, or to taste

Directions:

  1. In a large skillet over medium heat, combine the onion, garlic, and whiskey. Simmer for 10 minutes, or until onion is translucent. Mix in the ground black pepper, salt, ketchup, tomato paste, vinegar, liquid smoke, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, and hot pepper sauce.

Chicken Buffalo Dip Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 2 (8 ounce) packages cream cheese, softened
  • 1 (10 ounce) can chicken, drained
  • 1 cup ranch dressing
  • ¾ cup hot sauce
  • shredded cheddar cheese
  • Tortilla chips

Directions:

  • Pre-heat the oven to 350 degrees. In a bowl beat cream cheese, ranch dressing and hot sauce until smooth.
  • Add in chicken.
  • Spray a pie plate with cooking spray and pour the chicken mixture into it.
  • Place into the oven and bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes.
  • Remove from the oven and add cheddar cheese on top. Bake for an additional 10-15 minutes. Serve hot.

Applebee’s Barbecue Sauce Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1/3 cup bottled apple butter
  • 1/3 cup Catalina dressing
  • 1/3 cup catsup
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce

Simple BBQ Sauce Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 2 small cans of tomato paste
  • 1 can of Beef Broth
  • 1/2 cup of Rice Vinegar
  • 1/2 cup of Dijon mustard
  • 1/3 cup of Worcestershire Sauce
  • 1/2 cup of brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup of white sugar
  • 2 tbs. of Liquid Smoke Flavoring
  • 1 tbs. of cayenne pepper
  • 1 tsp. of salt

Directions:

  1. Combine all ingredients and bring to a boil.
  2. Simmer to reduce (uncovered) to a thick paste that holds onto the spoon.
  3. Stir occasionally to prevent scorching.

Chickasaw Hot Sauce Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 4 cup ketchup
  • 1 1/2 cup molasses
  • 1/4 cup vinegar
  • 2 Tbsp Tabasco
  • 3 Tbsp Worcestershire
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice
  • 1 cup chopped onion
  • 3 cloves chopped garlic
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp cayenne — (1 to 3)
  • 3 Tbsp dry mustard (or 1 Tbsp ginger)
  • up to 2 cup water

Directions:

  1. Mix everything in a large, heavy saucepan. Add water as needed to create a sauce with a cream-like texture.
  2. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Reduce heat, partially cover and simmer VERY GENTLY for 1 hour. Stir frequently.

  • 1 cup yellow prepared mustard

  1. Mix all the ingredients together and use a funnel to bottle the sauce

  • 1 8-ounce can tomato sauce
  • 1 6-ounce can tomato paste

  • 3 cloves garlic crushed
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon dry mustard

Directions:

  1. Cook minced onion and garlic in olive oil until onions turns opaque.
