Mountain Man Fire Roasted Habanero hot sauce starts with a very dark brownish-red color that gives makes it look like it will be appealing before you even get in the bottle, then I opened the bottle and smelled it. The aroma more than lives up to what the appearance promises. The aroma is tantalizing, to say the least. You can almost taste the sauce just by sniffing. You can certainly tell it will be hot.
Mountain Man Fire Roasted Habanero doesn’t disappoint in the heat department, either. It has a nice little fire touch that warms the throat and hits the belly likewise. There’s nothing in the heat department here that would embarrass anyone who loves to feel the fire.

The Mountain Man sauces never cease to amaze me. I’m a big fan. I’ve tried several and have never been disappointed. The Mountain Man Fire Roasted Habanero Hot Sauce is one of my favorites of the batch and definitely one of the hottest.

There’s very little to get between you and the wood-roasted habaneros that make up the bulk of Mountain Man Fire Roasted Habanero Sauce flavor.  Throw in a little red wine vinegar and a pinch of salt. That’s about it. What you get here is a sauce that has a rich, deep reddish-brown color, and enticing smoky hot aroma, and bits of charred habanero with some seeds thrown in for good measure. This sauce was a hit the moment I opened the bottle. First of all, getting it out of my wife’s hands was a challenge. She absolutely loves Mountain Man Roasted Corn, Garlic & Chipotle Sauce. I can’t blame her. I always love a good chipotle sauce; Mountain Man has figured out how to blend flavors beyond compare.

Mountain Man Garlic Pepper Sauce is a traditional vinegar-based sauce with aged red peppers. The added benefit is the taste of garlic. This one is infused with it. Any garlic lover will be thrilled.

The sauce is aromatic, thin enough to pour easily (and with its fresh, garlic-infused flavor, you’ll want to be liberal), and full of pepper seeds and garlic pieces.

I tried it with hot wings first. It’s an obvious choice, and this sauce was a natural fit. There’s no need to add anything to the sauce except for a generous hunk of butter. Drop your wings into the sauce and let them lavish in it for ten or fifteen minutes. The wings tasted great with an ice-cold Irish Red beer. Continue Reading

Well someone’s gotta stop the flaming ass madness. Or at least allow new blood into the club of hot sauce fools. This is where Mountain Man comes in. If it was on a long shelf of sauces it would run more to spicy BBQ sauces or rubs than the flamers. This is definitely entry-level stuff. Trainer wheels. My young niece took a shot at Mountain Man. No-one can hurt themselves with Mountain Man Corn, Garlic, & Chipotle Hot Sauce. In fact the word “hot” doesn’t even appear on the bottle. The only thing bringing heat in this mix is the rather mild chipotle pepper. Chipotle this and chipotle that seems to be everywhere these days which attests to the “pop” mildness and flavor of this pepper. Continue Reading
