Have you heard about the Heine Hurtin’ Sweet n Hot Sauce? This is a cool twist on a traditional dipping sauce as it is similar to a spreadable jelly. Some people do not care for a BBQ type sauce with the tomato base. This sauce can be used in several different ways too and it is a pure and simple sauce that you may want to check out.

The Heine Hurtin’ Sweet n Hot Sauce is also known as Heine Hurtin’ Jelly or Heine Hurtin’ Hot Sauce, but whatever you call it, it comes in an 8oz jar that is simple to use. It really is a Jelly that is made for meat so the name is a misnomer. The taste is sweet with a mild Jalapeno heat.

A perfect way to use this sauce is to try it with mixed in with some softened cream cheese as an appetizing cheese ball or softened up as a cracker spread. You can also grab a cream cheese brick and pour the sauce over it and serve with crackers. Sounds like a delicious appetizer that will be gone in a minute. You can also use it as a dipping sauce for any meats and you can serve it on the side with chicken, pork, lamb or add it in with eggs for breakfast. If you are BBQing, then throw some on just before taking the meat off of the grill.

Heine Hurtin’ Sweet n Hot Sauce is made from the perfect blend of sugar, Jalapeno peppers and apple cider vinegar. It is a very unique recipe that was originally created by Carin Froehlich of Ingleby Farms in rural Bucks County, PA., but the recipe and name was sold to Chip Hearns back in 2002. It has received numerous awards and mentions over the years.

If you are looking for something unique and different to try, check out the Heine Hurtin’ Hot Sauce for a nice twist on hot sauce.

For all of you die hard chicken wings fans, we know you like your wings Hot! Some of you like them super hot so we came up with a recipe that will satisfy the burning desire for some delicious chicken wings with an easy to create Super Hot Wing Sauce Recipe

This recipe is used strictly for making hot and spicy chicken wings and trust us…it is hot!

Recipe:

12 oz. bottle red hot sauce
1/2 cup to 3/4 cup butter (not margarine)
2 teaspoons fresh lime juice
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 medium onion, minced or finely chopped
1 tablespoon mustard powder
2 Jalapeno peppers (seeds removed, finely chopped or minced)
1 Habanero pepper (seeds removed, finely chopped or minced)
1 teaspoon Cayenne pepper
1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
1 teaspoon ground black pepper
1 1/2 tablespoons honey

In a large skillet saute the onion and garlic in 1 tablespoon of butter. Turn the heat up to medium and stir in the other ingredients one at a time in the order they are given in the recipe. Simmer mixture for 10 minutes on medium heat, turn down the heat to low and simmer for an additional 15-20 minutes. Let cool before using. Tip: If you want the sauce smooth, after cooling, you can place it in a blender and give it a few whirls before using it or use an immersion blender if you have one.

Cook your wings by frying , baking or grilling and after they are removed from the heat toss them with a small amount the sauce in a large bowl. You can sever them with the sauce on the side too. Delicious!

When hosting game day at your place or if you are going to someone else’s home for dinner or a fun time, finding a different and delicious appetizer to bring can be a challenge sometimes. You want something that whips up pretty quickly without a big mess to clean up.

Here is a breaded Jalapeno Pepper Poppers recipe is a pretty easy to make and makes for a great appetizer. Great for Superbowl parties or Playoff time.

Breaded Jalapeno Pepper Poppers Recipe

8 oz. block of Philadelphia Cream Cheese, softened
8 oz. bag of cheddar cheese, shredded
1/4 cup low-fat or reduced-fat mayonnaise
12 Jalapeno peppers
2 large eggs, beaten
1 tablespoon cold milk
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
1 1/2 cups dry bread crumbs

Wash and dry the Jalapeno peppers. Remove stem and slice each pepper in half (length-wise), remove seeds and membranes. Set aside. In a large mixing bowl combine together the cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese and the mayonnaise. Beat mixture until smooth and then use a knife to stuff it into each Jalapeno half.

In a large mixing bowl combine together the eggs, milk, salt and ground black pepper until well combined. Using your hands or a set of tongs you want to dip each Jalapeno half into the milk mixture and then roll each half into the dry bread crumbs. Set each half on a baking sheet that has been sprayed with nonstick baking spray. Continue dipping and rolling each half until done. Place baking sheet into a preheated 350 degree oven and bake for 20 minutes or until done.

Serve warm with your favorite dipping sauce or alone. This is a recipe that you can partially prepare ahead. You can stuff them and dip and apply the coating right before you pop them in the oven for the best crispness.

We know you love your chili peppers and love having such a nice selection of hot sauce and BBQ sauce at your fingertips right here on Insane Chicken. But when you can’t get your order fast enough, it is sometimes nice to have a basic recipe that you can use as a base so you have great flavor and the ability or spice it as you want.

This “basic” hot sauce is a super one to start out with as it is a quick and easy recipe that even a beginner cook can handle. This hot sauce recipe can be used in any recipe that calls for hot sauce.

Basic Hot Sauce Recipe

1 large onion, finely chopped
2 large ripe red tomatoes, finely chopped
1 large green bell pepper, finely chopped (if desired, a red bell pepper can also be used)
1 large hot chile pepper, finely chopped
1/4 cup white vinegar
2 tablespoons tap water
2 1/2 tablespoons olive oil
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon ground pepper

Note: If seeds from the tomatoes bother you…run them through a blender and then strainer to remove the seeds. In addition, if you like more “heat” to your hot sauce increase to 2 chopped chile peppers and an additional 1-2 teaspoons of tap water.

In a large mixing bowl combine together all of the above ingredients in the order they are given in the recipe, mixing after each addition. If you like your hot sauce really smooth you can pour it into a blender and process for 20-30 seconds. Once done mixing, pour the hot sauce into a large glass jar and refrigerate. It will keep for up to several days in your refrigerator.

Enjoying pepper sauces from all over the world is a fun and easy way to experience new tastes and flavors. Here a different pepper sauce that you may not have heard of. The Chatak Lime Pepper Sauce might be one you may want to give a try.

This hot pepper sauce is an imported gourmet food product from the country of Trinidad and Tobago but is readily available throughout the United States at both online and offline retailers. The sauce is manufactured by Chatak Food Products who also manufactures and sells other various hot sauce flavors worth checking out.

This hot pepper sauce is made from the perfect blend of red and yellow hot peppers, salt, limes and lime juice. It has a moderate lime flavoring so you can definitely taste the lime in this hot pepper sauce. Sounds good to me! The product comes ready to serve or use as an ingredient in your favorite recipe and typically has a 1 year shelf life.

With the lovely lime flavor, this might be something to try in a mixed drink to spice it up a bit! Use it on chicken wings, grilled chicken breasts, in crab cakes or other seafood dishes or place a few teaspoons in your favorite beef or pork meatloaf recipe for a flavorful addition. As a tip, when marinating meats, fish or poultry you will want to marinate your food in this delectable hot sauce for a minimum of 6 hours before baking or grilling so that the flavors infuse thoroughly before cooking.

With a name like Arrogant Bastard Ale Jalapeno Heat, you know this sauce is going to be really tasty or simply overly bloated bravado in a bottle. The former is the case here. Arrogant Bastard Ale Jalapeno Heat is aptly named. This is a prime example of gourmet flavor in a bottle.

Go ahead, open yours, grab a spoon, and pour a liberal amount for sampling. You’ll find a mild burn backed by the smooth, delicious taste of the Arrogant Bastard Ale that plays such an important role in the flavor notes of this sauce. The smooth taste of the ale lingers on your tongue long after you’ve tasted the sauce. This is a thin, highly pourable sauce that is rounded out with tomato paste, vinegar, honey, lemon juice, evaporated cane juice, red peppers, jalapeno, some salt, and a little garlic.

These ingredients are well balanced, with the gentle sweetness of the honey and the mild warmth of the peppers and capsicum coming through as they key personality in addition to the Arrogant Bastard Ale. As delicious as this sauce is, you will find yourself going out of your way to find uses for it, and since it is such a versatile sauce, you’ll have no trouble.

It tastes great with Mexican foods, on just about any meat, or straight out of a bowl with chips. Hell, it’s so good, you’ll have to force yourself not to drink it from the bottle. This sauce has all the rich, bold flavor of the famous ale. I would go so far as to call it elegant in its beauty. Grab several bottles and keep them on your shelf. You won’t be disappointed.

Cornbread is the perfect accompaniment to a big bowl of chili. Perfect for game day or on a cold, rainy day, a big bowl of steaming hot chili with just the right amount of kick to it is so good. Here is the perfect recipe for and easy to make cornbread to go with your chili, with a nice little kick to it too.

Mexican Corn Bread with Peppers Recipe

1 cup yellow corn meal
2 tablespoons granulated sugar
1 cup whole milk
1 1/2 tablespoons butter, melted
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon salt
1 large egg, well beaten
3 teaspoons baking powder
1 small jalapeno, finely chopped

Mix together all of the above ingredients in a large mixing bowl in the order they are given in the recipe making sure to mix thoroughly after each ingredient addition. Lightly grease a 10″ by 10″ baking dish and spoon your bread batter into the dish. Preheat oven to 400 degrees and bake your bread for 30-40 minutes or until center is done. Remove from oven and let cool for 15 minutes before serving.

As with any recipe that you want to add some heat to, you can adjust the amount of chili’s that you add to this or you can even experiment a bit and try adding a bit of bell pepper or one of the peppers that you use in your favorite chili recipe. Start with small amounts first and add more the next time.

Give this Mexican Corn Bread recipe a try next time game day is at your place. It comes together quickly and tastes great.

There are thousands and thousands of hot pepper sauce fans around the world and many of these hot pepper sauce fans will sample hundreds of sauces and then write reviews on what they thought about the sauce. You will find these hot sauce reviews published in newspapers, foodie and/or cooking magazines and on various web sites and right here on our blog.

It is important that when you are reading various hot pepper sauce reviews to remember that every taste tester has different taste buds and likes and dislikes. So just because one person likes such and such brand of hot pepper sauce doesn’t mean the next person will. Because of this, it is advised that you try out various hot pepper sauces yourself to find the one that best suits your individual taste buds.

While reviews are great to help you learn about individual brands of hot pepper sauce that is out there, they can also be detrimental in helping you choose the “right” one for you. If you are new to the hot pepper sauce world, the best way to find your favorite is to purchase several different brands and try them in various types of recipes before you make your final choice on which one is the best one for you.

The amount of flavor and heat combinations can make this a long process in the reviewing world. I think that is part of the fun of finding the perfect hot pepper sauce. Who’s to say what perfect is anyway? Stop by and check out the fabulous selection of hot pepper sauce we carry at InsaneChicken. I think we could get your process of finding the perfect sauce started in a fantastic way!

After eating all of the pepper infused rubs and sauces you get from Insane Chicken, you are going to want a beautiful dessert. You can make your own homemade hot fudge sauce quickly and easily at home with just a few ingredients that you most likely have on hand. Homemade hot fudge sauce tastes 100% better than store bought hot fudge sauce so making your own is really worth the effort.

And because we know our customers love it spicy, you can add some dried Chipotle Pepper as a lovely topper to just give this a bit of a kicked up flavor.

1 cup butter, softened (not margarine)
1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder (make sure it’s unsweetened)
3 to 3 1/4 cups granulated sugar
12 ounce can evaporated milk (not sweetened condensed milk)
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Dried Chipotle Pepper as garnish on top – if desired

In a large nonstick saucepan stir together the softened butter, unsweetened cocoa, granulated sugar, evaporated milk and the teaspoon of vanilla extract over medium-high heat, stirring often with a non-stick spatula. Once it starts to lightly boil you will want to time 7 minutes of cooking time, stirring every 15-20 seconds to keep it from scorching. Once it is done cooking, ladle or pour it into your blender container and process on the low speed for 1 minute.

Your new homemade hot fudge sauce is ready for your ice cream. Can you imagine how great this would taste over the pepper ice cream recipe that we posted for you a few months ago? YUM! Or you can pour this over a sorbet or into a vanilla yogurt. You can store it in an airtight container in your refrigerator for up to 3 days.

Mix up your taste for peppers a bit with delicious pepper ice cream and lovely spicy Hot Fudge Sauce recipes that we have brought you. You will be thrilled with the results!

With the abundance from the gardens right now, many gardeners and folks stocking up at the farmers markets are making delicious salsas as well as canning and freezing their produce right now. But what about making homemade hot pepper sauce? Think it is too difficult? Is it all but forgotten in the world of salsas and BBQ sauces?

Well thankfully the answer to that is no. A simple hot pepper sauce is an easy recipe to follow and it will yield you quite a bit of sauce that you can use for dipping, fiery wings or whatever your pleasure.

Similar to a Tobasco sauce, there are recipes that contain as few as 3 ingredients; peppers, salt and vinegar. Sounds too easy to be true, doesn’t it? The famous Tobasco brand lets their sauce sit and age for three years before it is bottled and sent to you to use. And that is part of the secret to making a good sauce… but you don’t have to wait that long!

When you find a recipe that you want to try using the traditional Cayenne pepper, your favorite Anaheim’s, Jalapeno’s or even Habenaro’s, if you are daring, you must allow an aging time for it all to come together. If you have canning equipment, you are home free. By allowing your hot sauce to age a month or so, the flavors will develop and expand into a wonderful taste sensation.

Don’t be afraid to experiment with hot sauce recipes by adding in some garlic or mixing different types of peppers. This is going to be your famous creation. You can even make different sauces for those that may like a hotter pepper sauce and one for those that prefer a milder pepper sauce.

Making your own homemade pepper sauce is not a hard process to do, it will just take some patience to not eat it all when you make. In this instance, waiting will bring you a delicious taste and the itch to create more flavors.

Check out InsaneChicken’s extensive list of hot sauce recipes.
