Naga Soreass Hot Sauce Review

Naga Soreass Hot Sauce – As the first part of the name suggests, this is a sauce made with naga jolokia peppers (ghost peppers). Crack this bottle open and you can smell the flavor — and the heat. The naga jolokia pepper has a distinct taste, a distinct aroma (very pleasant), and a distinct level of heat. Naga Soreass Hot Sauce brings all of those things to the forefront.

In addition to the naga jolokia, Naga Soreass has Red Savina habaneros in it as well. For those who aren’t familiar, the Red Savina is a habanero on steroids. The combination of these two peppers is insane. Either of them will give any sauce a heat factor off the charts. Continue Reading

Bee Sting Honey ‘N Habanero Hot Sauce Review

Bee Sting Honey ‘N Habanero Hot Sauce – This was a no brainer. Honey and Habanero are a match made in heaven. I knew when I saw the label that I was in for some kind of taste experience. I didn’t realize it would be this good. Honey, carrots, corn vinegar, sugar, habanero peppers, cayenne peppers, lemon juice, garlic, onions, salt, and black pepper make up the ingredient list that gives this sauce its awesome taste.

As you would expect, the honey makes Bee Sting Honey ‘N Habanero sweet. In fact, it’s one of the sweetest sauces I’ve ever tasted. The honey is real and it’s pure. Good stuff all the way around. Continue Reading

Ass Reaper Pepper Sauce Review

Ass Reaper hot sauce – The bottle design alone is worth the price of admission on this sauce. Ass Reaper hot sauce comes with a black label that features a skeleton. There’s an actual black cloak tied around the bottle and the lid has a plastic skeleton head over it. The tag line for the sauce is “That’s your ass now.” If you choose to use this sauce irresponsibly, it will be your ass.

Habanero peppers, scotch bonnet peppers, and capsaicin resin and oil (in this case from a hot African pepper) make up the foundation of this sauce. The combination of habaneros and scotch bonnets would be enough to warrant warning. The other stuff is simply overkill.  Continue Reading

Sriracha Hot Chili Sauce – Rooster Sauce Review

The rise of Huy Fong’s famed Sriracha hot chili sauce is the stuff of legend among devout foodies.

In Thailand a sauce known as “Sri Racha” has long been a ubiquitous condiment, gracing tables all across the nation. In 1980, David Tran immigrated to California and began producing an authentic version of this sauce for Asian and American consumption. Unfortunately, while the sauce fared well among Asians, it flopped with most Americans. So he tweaked the recipe and came up with the famed Sriracha chili sauce, which is sweeter, and thicker then its Thai ancestor. The sauce took off, and today it can be found everywhere from the shelves of Asian grocery stores, to American supermarkets, and lucky for me, in my refrigerator. Continue Reading

Hooters Hot Sauce Review

Hooters Hot Sauce starts with a deep red color and a little layer of chili oils floating on top. Shake it up good and open the bottle, then take a sniff. It has a mouth-watering aroma that tells you you’re in for something special.

Knock-you-on-your-butt heat is not the point of this Hooters Hot Sauce. This is a table sauce meant to highlight the flavor of the peppers and not the heat potential. Very simple ingredients – red peppers, vinegar, salt, and brown sugar – take you back to the basics of hot sauce, but with an added taste characteristic that many basic hot sauces lack.

You can use Hooters Hot Sauce liberally, right out of the bottle, to kick up soups and stews, fried fish, cheese dips, and just about anything else Continue Reading

Ghost Pepper (aka bhut jolokia pepper) A Weapon Used for Cooking?

Indian military specialists in Assam have created a grenade produced using world’s hottest pepper, which is greater than 1,000 times more powerful than the typical pepper. It is also used in many hot sauces such as the Mad Dog 357 Ghost Pepper Sauce and 357 Pure Ghost Pepper Sauce

The thumb-sized “bhut jolokia”, which can be utilized to remedy stomach issues, is going to be utilized in order to subdue suspects while using tear gas-like grenades.

The newest crowd control grenade is loaded with ground seeds belonging to the bhut jolokia pepper. Continue Reading

Delicious Suffering Hot Sauce Review

Delicious Suffering Hot Sauce – With an ingredient hit list that boasts habanero peppers and Serrano’s, Delicious Suffering delivers pain and pleasure. The heat is butt kicking and immediate. The taste of the additional ingredients blend well with the two peppers. There’s onion, tomatoes, garlic, cilantro, salt, vinegar, and a few secret spices. Add to the mix some chili extract and you’ve got a monster that tastes good and provides a hot burn.

I started this one off on a slice of soft mozzarella just to get a feel for the sauce alone. I knew the smooth texture and subtle taste of the cheese wouldn’t interfere. I was right. It didn’t stand a chance against the sauce. It did help to ease the pain a bit, because when I tried a couple drops of Delicious Suffering on a corn chip, I got the full force of the fire. The Beast Hot Sauce Review

The Beast Hot Sauce – Billed as being “Hottest this side of Hell,” the Beast Hot Sauce is a deep red, hot sauce that doesn’t screw around. It’s the sort of sauce that you aren’t sure if you should take seriously until you make the mistake of trying more than a drop of it.

The front of the label features a fiery demon looking thing that seems like it was ripped straight from the t-shirt of an 80s hair-metal band.

The warning on the side of the label reads: XXX-Screamly Hot! Which sounds more like the tag line for a horror-themed adult movie than an actual warning. Continue Reading

Melinda’s Mango Hot Sauce Review

Melinda’s Mango Hot Sauce – Melinda’s sauces are characterized by fresh ingredients, artistic blending, and flavors that make these sauces some of the best around. While the sauces all contain some element of hot pepper, Melinda’s idea of hot differs from that of serious chili heads. Even her hottest hot sauces aren’t extremely hot. These sauces use the pepper differently than most hot sauces. The pepper is a flavor element rather than a full-out heat element.

In Melinda’s Mango Hot Sauce, we’re treated to a partnership of habanero peppers and fresh mangos, along with carrots, cane juice, lemon juice, and a small variety of ingredients that make this sauce a tantalizing treat. Continue Reading

Mad Dog Teriyaki Hot Sauce Review

Mad Dog Teriyaki Hot Sauce begins with a subtle aroma that’s very pleasing to inhale. As you would expect, the smell is immediately reminiscent of something Oriental. I poured a little on a spoon and sampled it. The sauce tastes exactly like it smells. It has a rich Oriental overtone brought on primarily by the tamari, ginger, and sesame oil. There’s also some honey and sea salt, kicked up by a dose of chili extract that adds a nice little heat factor to the situation.

There’s not a lot of uses for Mad Dog Teriyaki Hot Sauce. The flavor is so distinctly Oriental that anything you use it on will taste that way. I found it excellent on fried rice in play of soy sauce. Continue Reading

Naga Jolokia Hot Sauce Review

Naga Jolokia Hot Sauce – This is a beautiful sauce, from the deep orange color to the aromatic scent, all the way to the balance of ingredients. The sauce pours like lava, with a kick that resembles the stuff too. The great thing, though, is that Naga Jolokia Hot Sauce makes full use of the world’s hottest pepper without sacrificing taste. It’s reminiscent of Dave’s Ghost Pepper sauce, but with another layer of flavor that gives this sauce a special place in my heart. In fact, this is one of the best uses of the Naga Jolokia Hot Sauce that I’ve ever tasted. There’s a killer bite that leaves the lips numb, but an absolutely beautiful flavor that teases the taste buds.

Naga Jolokia Hot Sauce is a hand crafted work of culinary art. In addition to the potent nago jolokia, there’s carrots, papaya, lime juice, passion fruit, onions, garlic, salt, and a little bit of vinegar to help balance it out. Continue Reading
