Buddha Bill’s Tequila Lime Hot Sauce is a recent discovery and a favorite of mine. That’s why I was surprised and happy as hell to see Buddha Bill’s Peach Habanero Hot Sauce. I really love shaken’ those peaches, especially with my hot sauces, so I opened this one with a big grin on my face, ready to enjoy the fruit and heat combination. I didn’t expect the heat to be too intense, of course, since most of the peach and pepper combos I’ve had the pleasure of ingesting are usually quite mild. While Buddha Bill’s Peach Habanero Hot Sauce is by no means one of those sauces that will make you blow fire from the rear exit, it is quite a bit warmer than most other peach and pepper combinations I’ve had the pleasure of sampling. Peaches, orange habanero peppers, apple cider vinegar, orange juice, and brown sugar are the ingredients that come together in this beautifully crafted peach-colored sauce. Pour some on a spoon and take a taste to get the full effect before combining it with anything else. Let the mild peachy keen taste touch your tongue before the heat begins to settle in and make its through your chest and down into your belly. Not enough heat to have you reaching for something to cool you down, but enough to let you know that there are some hot peppers at work here. Both the peachy taste and the heat stick with you, linger like a wet dream, and then slowly dissipate, leaving you wanting more. There are plenty of pepper pieces and seeds in here to add some texture and visual appeal as well.

I deep fried some chicken wings and used this sauce as a dip. You could bake the wings in your oven and paint this stuff on for the last ten minutes just to get a nice coat for flavor. While the peach and pepper combo here is intense, nothing about this sauce will overpower your food. The balance is perfect and you’ll find that your Buddha Bill wings are some of the best you’ve ever had. If you enjoy fruity heat but like something that leans a little more toward the hot side of town, Buddha Bill’s Peach Habanero Hot sauce is a must-have on your shelf.

Two of my favorite combinations are sweet and heat.Honey is one of the finest ingredients you can combine with peppers to give you this exquisite combination. Short of walking into a hive full of bees, Bee Sting Honey ‘n’ Habanero Hot Sauce is one of the best ways to get the taste of honey with the bite of a habanero pepper. My first impulse when I twist the cap off this stuff is to pour it on a spoon and take it straight. In fact, this sauce is excellent (not kidding here) for someone who has a cold. Forget the cough syrup. Bee Sting Honey ‘n’ Habanero soothes the throat and helps open the sinus cavities and it tastes a lot better than cough syrup. I wouldn’t lie to you. This isn’t something I could make up. There’s another way I use this sauce. I started by accident. It makes a great pancake syrup. The honey provides the sweetness you expect from a pancake syrup and the habaneros give your cakes a nice little kick.

Bee Sting Honey ‘n’ Habanero is a thick sauce (though it still pours well) with a rich honey color and lots of slivers of bright orange habanero throughout. Onions, lemon juice, cayenne peppers, black pepper, and cane vinegar are also part of the cast of characters that makes this sauce work for its money. It clings nicely to whatever you pour it on, making it an ideal glaze, particularly for a holiday ham. It also makes a nice side dip. If you’re planning a party and want to introduce your guests to something with a bit of a kick while not overloading them with heat, Bee Sting is a good choice. All but the weakest of your guests will be able to handle this heat and the sweetness of the honey will work well with a variety of finger foods. Needless to say, painting it on your chicken wings is also a must. Grab a bottle and get stung.

For all of you die hard chicken wings fans, we know you like your wings Hot! Some of you like them super hot so we came up with a recipe that will satisfy the burning desire for some delicious chicken wings with an easy to create Super Hot Wing Sauce Recipe

This recipe is used strictly for making hot and spicy chicken wings and trust us…it is hot!

Recipe:

12 oz. bottle red hot sauce
1/2 cup to 3/4 cup butter (not margarine)
2 teaspoons fresh lime juice
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 medium onion, minced or finely chopped
1 tablespoon mustard powder
2 Jalapeno peppers (seeds removed, finely chopped or minced)
1 Habanero pepper (seeds removed, finely chopped or minced)
1 teaspoon Cayenne pepper
1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
1 teaspoon ground black pepper
1 1/2 tablespoons honey

In a large skillet saute the onion and garlic in 1 tablespoon of butter. Turn the heat up to medium and stir in the other ingredients one at a time in the order they are given in the recipe. Simmer mixture for 10 minutes on medium heat, turn down the heat to low and simmer for an additional 15-20 minutes. Let cool before using. Tip: If you want the sauce smooth, after cooling, you can place it in a blender and give it a few whirls before using it or use an immersion blender if you have one.

Cook your wings by frying , baking or grilling and after they are removed from the heat toss them with a small amount the sauce in a large bowl. You can sever them with the sauce on the side too. Delicious!

Some people have questioned whether hot sauce or the hot peppers can be a danger to you. Peppers as a whole are not dangerous to you. They have plenty of vitamins and health benefits. What can get to you is the Capsaicin. Capsaicin is potent oil, but there is no medical evidence that it is unhealthy for your body by consuming it in a sauce or in your food.

The effect you can get from this oil that is harmful to you is the burning from the oil found in very hot peppers like Habaneros, Ghost Peppers and similar very hot fruits. For someone that is not used to eating very hot foods, you can get extreme burning on your tongue and in your mouth. The oil can also give someone digestive effects in your intestines and stomach and cause severe upset.

Capsaicin can aggravate preexisting ulcers and digestive disorders, so those suffering from any kind of digestive difficulty need to proceed with caution. There have been many concerns that hot peppers cause ulcers. This has been shown to be not true as the capsaicin actually helps prevent ulcers as it helps the stomach build up bile and kills unwanted bacteria.

One other side effect can come after cleaning the hot peppers. The oil can remain on your hands and should you touch your eyes or face, you can feel a high level of pain, including blistering of the skin in more severe cases. Make sure to wear gloves and wash your hands with soap and water after use.

In the old days you used to hear of parents giving their children hot sauce to ingest for cursing or doing something bad (like washing their mouths out with soap type of deal) and it is highly advised that parents do not use hot sauce as a punishment tool in regards to children. The pepper oils and juice can cause severe stomach issues and burning on their delicate tongue and mouth for quite a while after eating it.

Salads and lettuce can be a bland, tasteless vegetable without the addition of some flavoring and spice to your dish. Some lettuces do have a bit of a bite to them like Arugula, but for the most part, it is up to the creator of the salad to bring in the flavor. For those that love some heat, here is a great recipe to kick up your next salad.

Habanero Pepper Salad Dressing Recipe

You do need gloves on when handling the habanero pepper and refrain from touching your eyes or face.

To make the Habanero Pepper Salad Dressing, you will need 2 small Habanero peppers, 1/2 cup light virgin olive oil, 2 tablespoons of red wine vinegar, dash of black pepper and a dash of salt.

You will want to wash your peppers and remove the stems. Cut the pepper into strips and remove the seeds and membranes. Place the pepper strips into a blender along with the extra light virgin olive oil, red wine vinegar, black pepper and salt. Cover the blender container and process until smooth. Use it immediately on any garden style salad and refrigerate leftovers which will keep for up to 3 days.

What a great addition to your next salad! Next time you are in the mood for something spicy and full of flavor, give this one a try. I am thinking this might be good as a marinade too.

Making a hot sauce is a unique as the person creating it. There are so many different ingredients that you can use to mix your peppers with to get a tangy, sweet, spicy pepper hot sauce. Using peaches has become a popular additive into many hot sauces and often people look for a way to blend in their peaches when making a recipe.

Here is an easy hot sauce recipe that you can use and tweak as you like.

Peach Hot Sauce Recipe

10 large orange Habanero Peppers (washed, cored and seeds removed)
5 large super ripe fresh Peaches (washed and pitted)
1/2 large white or yellow onion
4 small garlic cloves
2 large limes (rind removed, seeds removed)
1 large lemon (rind removed, seeds removed)
1/2 cup white vinegar
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon ground black pepper

Directions:
To make this recipe you will need a juicer machine or high powered blender with a large blending container. Wash all fruits and vegetables and cut into smaller pieces to fit into the juicer or blender. (make sure you remove any pits or seeds). You will want to place them into the juicer or blender one at a time starting at the top of the ingredient list and working down.

Once everything is combined you can store the peach hot sauce in an airtight container in your refrigerator (for up to one week) or can it into pint sized glass mason jars using a home water bath canner. You will need to follow the instructions that come with the water bath canner for the correct processing times.

Tip: When processing the mixture through the juicer or blender you don’t want to over-process it or it will become too runny. You want it to be a “sauce” consistency.

Enjoy using this recipe for making your hot sauce with peaches on any of your favorite meats. It would make a fabulous dipping sauce too!

With fresh peppers abounding right now it’s a great time to look at a few ideas for enjoying peppers for a delicious lunch or light dinner. Here are some great pepper sandwich ideas that you will enjoy over and over again! They are great for a quick and easy preparation and the kids will enjoy them too!

Mozzarella Cheesy Pepper Sandwich

1 slice of Mozzarella cheese
1 roasted red or green bell pepper, chopped
1-2 slices of tomato
butter and bread

This is a twist on the classic grilled cheese sandwich! Butter one side of each slice of bread and place one slice in a preheated frying pan, butter-side down. Place slice of cheese on top, then the chopped pepper, slice of tomato and then top with the remaining slice of bread with butter-side facing up. Fry sandwich on low heat until brown and then flip over and fry the other side.

Spinach Mozzarella Pepper Sandwich

This is made just like the sandwich above except you add a thin layer of fresh spinach leaves on top of your Mozzarella cheese slice and omit the slice of tomato, if you choose.

Chicken Salad Sandwich with Roasted Red Pepper

1 can of chopped chicken, drained
3-4 tablespoons salad dressing
1 teaspoon minced onion
1 roasted red pepper, finely chopped
salt and pepper to taste

In a mixing bowl combine together the can of chopped chicken, salad dressing, minced onion, chopped pepper, salt and pepper until well combined. Refrigerate chicken salad for one hour and then spoon it onto a roll and enjoy as a cold salad sandwich.

These 3 sandwich selections are great to serve along with some lovely tomato soup or sliced into small sandwiches for a great addition to a buffet style meal. However you choose to make them, you are going to come back to them time and time again for the fresh goodness of the pepper flavors.

Hot pepper sauce is a basic cooking necessity that pepper lovers want to keep in their kitchen at all times. Having a favorite homemade hot pepper sauce that you can call your own and be able to adjust the flavors is a great thing to have too. Here is a very simple recipe that you can use to flavor your sauces, wings, or other delicious foods.

Homemade Hot Pepper Sauce
3 cups chopped Habanero Peppers
2 cups white vinegar
2 tablespoons pickling salt

You will need a large blender container with lid or a food processor to mix up this recipe. You will want to wash and dry the Habanero peppers. Place gloves onto your hands and use a paring knife to cut off the stem, remove the seeds and then chop them into pieces. Place the pieces into the blender container. Measure out 2 cups of white vinegar along with 2 tablespoons of pickling salt and place into the blender container. Place the lid on the container and process on medium speed for 1 1/2 to 2 minutes or until it is well combined. Once done you will want to pour it into glass jars (mason jars work well) or other glass container with lids.

This hot sauce will keep for up to 5 days refrigerated. You can use it to marinade your chicken wings or other chicken parts and you will want to marinade your poultry in the hot sauce for several hours before baking or grilling them.

*Note* some enjoy this sauce more if it cures for a day or two before using.

This recipe is a great base for any other wing sauce or hot pepper sauce that you want to create. You can adjust it heat wise by changing the Habanero for a Jalapeno or another one of your favorite peppers you enjoy cooking with. Don’t be afraid to try out some different additional to create your perfect sauce.

There are thousands and thousands of hot pepper sauce fans around the world and many of these hot pepper sauce fans will sample hundreds of sauces and then write reviews on what they thought about the sauce. You will find these hot sauce reviews published in newspapers, foodie and/or cooking magazines and on various web sites and right here on our blog.

It is important that when you are reading various hot pepper sauce reviews to remember that every taste tester has different taste buds and likes and dislikes. So just because one person likes such and such brand of hot pepper sauce doesn’t mean the next person will. Because of this, it is advised that you try out various hot pepper sauces yourself to find the one that best suits your individual taste buds.
