Mexican Hot Sauce Recipe
Ingredients:
- 3 large tomatoes
- 1 onion
- 2 tsp garlic crushed
- 1 tsp dry mustard powder
- 2 whole red chillies
- 1 tsp chilli powder
- 1 tsp curry powder or hot chilli sauce
- 1 tsp sugar
- 2 tbsp tomato ketchup
- 1 tbsp vinegar
- 1 tbsp oil
- 4 ¼ fl oz water
- salt to taste
Directions:
- Heat the oil in a frying pan, and add the garlic and onions.Gently fry until the onions are tender.
- When the onions are nice and tender, add all the other ingredients to the mix.Cover the pan and simmer until the tomatoes are fully cooked.
- Add the water to the mixture and bring to a boil, for 2 tot 3 minutes.
- Once everything is fully cooked, place the mixture in a blender and blend till smooth.Finally, pass the mixture through a sieve for extra smoothness.
