How to Make a Simple BBQ Sauce
Making your own homemade bbq sauce may seem like a difficult thing to do, but it is actually a really easy process. You only need a few ingredients that you most likely have in your pantry right now to create a simple and tasty barbeque sauce that you and your family will love. Simple and Tasty BBQ Sauce Recipe
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1/4 large onion, finely chopped or diced
2 small garlic cloves, finely minced
1 3/4 cups catsup
1/4 cup white vinegar
4 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
1/3 cup granulated sugar
2 teaspoons chili powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon ground black pepper (or red pepper)
In a large 3 quart saucepan combine together the vegetable oil, chopped onion and minced cloves. Simmer over medium heat, stirring constantly for about 4 minutes. Stir in the vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, granulated sugar, chili powder, salt and ground black pepper. Place lid on your saucepan and turn the heat down to low-medium and simmer the mixture for 15-17 minutes, stirring often. Once done it is ready to use or you can store it in the refrigerator in an airtight container for up to 4 days.
