Homemade Raspberry Chipotle Barbecue Sauce Recipe

When it comes to barbeque sauces, trying new tastes and flavors of sauce is the best part of barbequing.  Die hard BBQ fans loves to see what taste mixes well with the different meats and enjoy tweaking different recipes to find the perfect blend of spices and flavors.

This homemade raspberry chipotle barbecue sauce is great on a few racks of your favorite style ribs or brush some chicken in the barbecue sauce and grill the chicken until done. If you like your barbecue sauce with more of a hot kick, you can increase the chipotle chili peppers according to your own taste buds.

Homemade Raspberry Chipotle Barbecue Sauce Recipe

2 bottles of your favorite “plain” barbecue sauce
1 small can of chipotle chili peppers
1 small onion, finely chopped
1 clove of garlic, finely minced
1/2 tablespoon crushed red pepper flakes
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon ground black pepper
1 small jar of raspberry preserves (your favorite brand)

Place all of the above ingredients into a large blender container, place lid on top and process for 1 to 2 minutes or until well blended. Brush this sauce onto ribs and chicken and grill until your meat or poultry has been fully cooked.

This semi sweet, spicy and fruity sauce is so complex with all of the great flavors, you are going to be able to enjoy this on a variety of meats. It is easy to make and you will come back to this recipe time and time again.
