As the weather heats up so do the kitchens which sends more and more people out to the backyard BBQ’s to cook.  The demand for unique and delicious ways and recipes to cook on grills is high.

This is a great recipe for all of your summer family cookouts and backyard barbecues when you want to grill up some burgers, but at the same time want something a little different with some spicy heat.  Burgers are a great choice for barbequing and this one is delicious!    If you are serving children, you may want to reserve the chili peppers inside the meat for the adults only.

Grilled Spicy Hamburgers Recipe

2 lbs. lean ground beef
1/4 cup onions, finely chopped
2 red chili peppers, seeds remove, finely chopped
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon ground red pepper or 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
1/8 cup freshly chopped parsley
3-4 teaspoons hot sauce
* roasted red chili peppers as a topping (optional)

In a large mixing bowl, combine together all of the above ingredients. Shape meat mixture into 1/4 lb. patties and place onto a tray. Sprinkle additional salt and ground black pepper on top of each patty if desired. Grill them on a hot grill until done.

While they are grilling you can roast some red chili peppers on the grill beside them. You want to roast them long enough so that their skins blister and char. Remove and let cool slightly. Chop them up and serve them on top of the hamburgers in hamburger rolls.

These are delicious served with any of your favorite side dishes and a recipe that your family and friends are going to want you to make time and time again.  Enjoy!
