Easy Spare Ribs BBQ Sauce Recipe

Spare ribs are such a great meal.  They are so versatile and they can stand up to many different types of sauces. Plus there are so many different ways that you can prepare them and they taste so fabulous.   With summer coming up quickly that means plenty of BBQ’s going to wants some delicious spare rib sauce.  We have a great one for you to try.

A bit of spice and a bit of sweet and a bit of tradition all wrapped up in one delicious sauce.  You can throw in some additional heat to taste if you like. This is a great recipe for those of you with a large slow cooker (crock pot) too, so give it a try!

Spare Ribs BBQ Sauce Recipe

2 lbs. pork spare ribs
1/2 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
1/8 cup catsup
1/8 cup soy sauce
1/8 cup Worcestershire sauce
1 clove garlic, minced
1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon ground black pepper

Place spare ribs into the crock pot with enough water to cover them. Cook on high for 2-3 hours and then remove 3/4 of the water from the pot. Combine together all of the other ingredients in a large mixing bowl and then pour the sauce into the crock pot. Cover and slow cook for 4-5 hours or until the spare ribs are done. Serve immediately.
