Arrogant Bastard Ale Jalapeno Hot Sauce – Based on the Arrogant Bastard Ale, this hot sauce delivers both sharp, tangy flavor and a heat punch that will leave you grasping for something to pick you up off the floor. Arrogant Bastard is a kick-in-the groin beer that adds to the taste of this sauce. I dropped some of this into a cheddar cheese dip just to see what I could work up. Before that, I tried a half a teaspoon full. The ears started smoking and I reached for the glass of lime juice, then I realized the extreme heat dissipated into a rather pleasing warmth and a lingering flavor I didn’t want to wash away with anything.

This is another of those sauces that come at you with a balance of taste and heat that is simply perfect. My oldest son loves it. We spent a couple of hours digging through sauces and trading opinions. We have different opinions about what makes a good sauce, but one of the things we agree on most is the importance of finding the right balance between taste and heat. Here it is, folks. Arrogant Bastard Ale Jalapeno Hot Sauce. If you’re a heat freak, you’ll have no trouble taking this one to bed with you. If you can’t stand the heat, though, don’t even go near the kitchen. All the sill-ass puns aside, this is one you’re going to enjoy. Use it liberally on your tacos, burritos, hamburgers, in your cheese dips, and to add some life to your soups and chili. It really is a sauce to be reckoned with, and yeah, a little on the arrogant side, but quite deserving of the attitude.
